Surat based fintech SaaS startup Hisabkitab has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from a group of angel investors and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) at a valuation of ₹20 crore. The fresh capital will help the company strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and accelerate the development of its cloud-native accounting platform for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).

Founded in 2022 by Shrigopal Malani and Abhinav Sharma, Hisabkitab is building an all-in-one accounting solution that combines AI, cloud computing, and end-to-end financial management. The platform is designed to replace multiple software tools used for billing, bookkeeping, compliance, and financial reporting, enabling businesses to manage their finances through a single integrated platform.

Funding to Accelerate AI-Powered Financial Automation

The newly raised capital will primarily be used to enhance the platform’s AI Intelligence Layer, which aims to automate several accounting and finance functions for businesses.

As part of this initiative, Hisabkitab plans to develop specialized AI-powered agents, including an Audit Agent, Tax Preparation Agent, Accounts Receivable Agent, Accounts Payable Agent, and additional intelligent finance assistants. These features are expected to reduce manual accounting work, improve accuracy, and help businesses manage financial operations more efficiently.

The company believes AI-driven automation will play a key role in simplifying accounting for SMEs while improving productivity and financial decision making.

Building a Unified Accounting Platform for Indian SMEs

Unlike traditional accounting software that requires businesses to use multiple applications for invoicing, bookkeeping, taxation, compliance, and reporting, Hisabkitab integrates these functions into a single cloud-based platform.

According to the startup, this unified approach improves operational efficiency by eliminating disconnected software subscriptions and providing businesses with better financial visibility. The platform enables entrepreneurs to automate routine accounting processes while maintaining centralized access to their financial data.

By combining artificial intelligence with cloud technology, the company aims to simplify accounting workflows for startups and small businesses that often struggle with fragmented financial systems.

Strong Growth Reflects Rising Demand

Hisabkitab says it has witnessed strong customer adoption since its launch. The platform has attracted more than 30,000 sign-ups and currently serves over 2,700 paying SMEs and startups across India.

The company’s revenue growth has also accelerated significantly over the past year. Monthly revenue increased nearly sixfold, rising from ₹4.18 lakh in May 2025 to ₹25.01 lakh in June 2026. The rapid growth indicates increasing demand for AI-powered accounting solutions among businesses seeking automation and cloud-based financial management.

With fresh funding, the startup expects to further strengthen its market presence by expanding its product capabilities and customer base.

Expanding Customer Reach in a Growing Market

Alongside product development, Hisabkitab plans to invest in expanding customer acquisition through both performance marketing and organic growth initiatives.

The company will also scale its CA Partner Program across India, allowing chartered accountants to recommend and implement the platform for their clients. In addition, it plans to hire talent across product development, engineering, and business functions to support its next phase of growth.

The timing appears favorable, with India’s accounting software market witnessing steady expansion. According to industry estimates, the market was valued at nearly $699 million in 2025 and is projected to reach almost $1.5 billion by 2034, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.83% between 2026 and 2034.

Hisabkitab currently competes with established accounting platforms including Vyapar, Tally, Khatabook, MyBillBook, Zoho Books, Busy, and Swipe, while also targeting businesses that continue to rely on manual Excel-based accounting systems. By focusing on AI-driven automation and an integrated cloud platform, the startup aims to differentiate itself in India’s increasingly competitive fintech SaaS landscape.

The latest funding provides Hisabkitab with the resources needed to accelerate innovation and strengthen its position in the growing digital accounting software market as more Indian businesses adopt AI-powered financial management solutions.
