Bengaluru based construction materials quick commerce startup HomeRun has raised $12 million in a Series A+ funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from existing investors Sorin Investments, Titan Capital, Sparrow Capital, and Consumer Collective by Atrium.
The latest investment comes just months after the company raised $6.6 million earlier this year, underscoring growing investor confidence in the emerging quick commerce segment for construction and home improvement materials.
Fresh Capital to Fuel Expansion and Technology
According to the company, the newly raised capital will be used to expand into new cities while strengthening its supply chain, technology platform, and product portfolio.
HomeRun aims to build a technology-driven procurement network that enables contractors and homeowners to source building materials quickly, reducing delays in construction and renovation projects.
The investment will also support the startup’s efforts to scale operations as demand for rapid delivery of construction materials continues to increase.
Delivering Building Materials Within 60 Minutes
Founded by Pukhraj Grewal, HomeRun operates a quick commerce platform that delivers construction and interior materials to contractors, builders, interior designers, and homeowners in as little as 60 minutes.
Its product catalogue includes cement, plywood, paints, electrical wires, hardware, plumbing supplies, and other essential building materials required for construction and renovation projects.
By combining technology with a localized supply network, HomeRun aims to simplify procurement for construction professionals and consumers alike.
Strong Growth Since Launch
HomeRun claims to have fulfilled more than 100,000 orders while achieving 8x growth over the past year.
The company currently operates in Bengaluru, where it has expanded across its core construction material categories, serving both professional contractors and retail customers.
Its rapid growth reflects increasing demand for faster procurement solutions in India’s fragmented construction materials market.
Experienced Founder with Construction Tech Background
Founder Pukhraj Grewal brings significant industry experience to the business.
Before launching HomeRun, he co-founded Tornado, an interior contracting startup, and Project Hero, a construction labour marketplace.
His experience across construction services and workforce management has helped shape HomeRun’s technology-first approach to building material procurement.
Competition Intensifies in Construction Quick Commerce
HomeRun operates in a fast-growing category where startups are leveraging quick commerce models to serve construction professionals.
Recently, Bengaluru-based Fixxly raised $5.5 million in seed funding from Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners to build a similar AI-powered construction materials delivery platform.
HomeRun also competes with established building material retailers and technology-enabled platforms such as IBO and Material Depot, as digital procurement gains traction across the construction sector.
Nexus Venture Partners Expands Early-Stage Portfolio
The investment further strengthens Nexus Venture Partners’ portfolio of early-stage technology startups.
Last year, the venture capital firm closed its eighth fund worth $700 million, targeting investments across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, consumer technology, and fintech companies in India and the United States.
With fresh funding, rapid business growth, and plans to expand beyond Bengaluru, HomeRun is well positioned to strengthen its presence in India’s evolving construction technology ecosystem. As quick commerce continues to expand beyond groceries into specialized categories, the startup aims to become a leading platform for on-demand building material deliveries.
