Bengaluru-based building materials quick commerce startup Fixxly has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by Accel, with participation from Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners. The investment comes ahead of the company’s commercial launch and will support the development of its AI-powered platform for rapid delivery of construction and home improvement materials.

The funding highlights growing investor interest in vertical quick commerce models that cater to professional users such as contractors, electricians, plumbers, and interior designers, moving beyond traditional grocery and consumer goods delivery.

Funding to Strengthen Technology and Scale Operations

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to enhance its technology platform, strengthen its AI-driven supply network, and scale operations before its official launch on September 1.

Fixxly will begin operations in Bengaluru, with plans to expand into other Indian cities as it builds its network of fulfilment centres and delivery infrastructure.

The startup aims to simplify procurement for professionals by offering rapid access to essential building materials through a digital platform.

Bringing Quick Commerce to Building Materials

Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is developing an AI-powered quick commerce platform focused exclusively on the construction and home improvement sector.

The platform enables contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, interior designers, and homeowners to order products including plywood, paint, electrical equipment, lighting, hardware, and plumbing supplies, with deliveries promised in as little as 30 minutes.

By addressing urgent material requirements, the company aims to reduce project delays and improve operational efficiency for construction professionals.

AI-Driven Supply Network Powers Fast Deliveries

Fixxly’s operations are built around an AI-powered supply network that intelligently fulfils customer orders through a network of local dark stores.

The platform uses real-time data on inventory availability, customer proximity, and demand patterns to determine the most efficient fulfilment route, enabling faster deliveries while optimising inventory utilisation.

This technology-driven approach allows the startup to serve time-sensitive construction and maintenance requirements more efficiently than traditional building material suppliers.

Experienced Founders with Startup and Logistics Expertise

Fixxly’s founding team brings significant experience across home interiors, supply chain management, and quick commerce.

Before launching Fixxly, Shezan Bhojani co-founded DesignCafe, the home interiors startup that merged with HomeLane in 2024.

Co-founder Sachith Varma previously led supply chain design at Zepto and managed last-mile operations at Flipkart, bringing deep operational expertise in logistics and rapid delivery networks.

Their combined experience positions the company to address supply chain challenges in India’s fragmented building materials market.

Quick Commerce Expands Beyond Consumer Goods

India’s quick commerce sector is increasingly expanding into specialised categories beyond groceries, including healthcare, electronics, and now construction supplies.

By combining artificial intelligence, local fulfilment infrastructure, and rapid delivery, Fixxly is targeting a large and underserved market where timely access to materials can significantly improve project execution.

With fresh seed funding from leading venture capital firms and an experienced founding team, Fixxly is well positioned to build a technology-driven procurement platform for India’s construction ecosystem as it prepares for its commercial launch.
