AI and advanced analytics company Fractal reported a strong start to FY27, posting ₹913 crore in revenue from operations during the first quarter, a 20% year-on-year increase from ₹761 crore in Q1 FY26. The company also recorded a 90% surge in net profit, which rose to ₹72 crore during the quarter.

The results mark Fractal’s first quarterly performance after its public listing earlier this year. The company, which specializes in enterprise artificial intelligence and advanced analytics solutions, continued to benefit from growing demand for AI-driven platforms and consulting services across industries.

Revenue Crosses ₹900 Crore on Strong AI Business Growth

According to financial disclosures sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Fractal’s revenue from operations increased to ₹913 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹761 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Founded in 2000, Fractal generates revenue through a combination of AI and analytics consulting services and recurring income from its software platforms. Its portfolio includes enterprise AI products such as Cogentiq, fflyfish.ai, and Kalaido.ai, which provide data analytics, decision intelligence, and AI-powered business solutions.

The company also reported ₹20 crore in non-operating income, taking its total income for the quarter to ₹932 crore.

Employee Costs Remain the Largest Expense

As a technology and consulting company, employee-related expenses continued to account for the largest share of Fractal’s operating costs.

During Q1 FY27, employee benefit expenses increased 14% year-on-year to ₹632 crore, representing more than 77% of the company’s total expenditure.

The company also witnessed higher depreciation, finance costs, and other operating expenses as it continued investing in business expansion and technology capabilities.

Overall, total expenses rose 17% to ₹818 crore, compared with ₹700 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit Nearly Doubles Despite Higher Operating Costs

Fractal’s revenue growth outpaced the increase in expenses, allowing the company to significantly improve profitability.

The company reported a net profit of ₹72 crore, representing a 90% increase from ₹38 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

However, on a sequential basis, profitability declined from the ₹116 crore reported in Q4 FY26, reflecting a 38% quarter-on-quarter decrease.

Despite the sequential moderation, the year-on-year improvement highlights continued business momentum driven by strong demand for AI-powered enterprise solutions.

AI Platforms Continue to Drive Enterprise Demand

Fractal has established itself as one of India’s leading enterprise AI companies by combining consulting services with proprietary AI software platforms.

Its products, including Cogentiq, fflyfish.ai, and Kalaido.ai, help businesses automate decision-making, improve analytics, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.

As organizations across industries continue investing in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and automation, demand for enterprise AI platforms is expected to remain strong.

Public Listing Strengthens Growth Journey

Fractal entered the public markets in February 2026 through a ₹2,834 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO), comprising both a fresh issue of shares and an offer for sale (OFS).

The IPO enabled exits for existing investors, including Apax Partners and TPG Capital. Although the stock debuted at a 3% discount to its issue price, the company has continued to strengthen its financial performance following the listing.

At the close of trading on Thursday, Fractal’s shares ended at ₹866, giving the company a market capitalization of approximately ₹14,892 crore (around $1.56 billion).

Growing Enterprise AI Adoption Supports Long-Term Outlook

Fractal’s Q1 FY27 performance reflects the increasing adoption of AI-powered analytics and enterprise software across global businesses.

With revenue surpassing ₹900 crore, profitability improving significantly year-on-year, and a diversified portfolio of AI platforms, the company remains well positioned to benefit from rising enterprise investments in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

As organizations increasingly integrate AI into business operations, Fractal’s combination of consulting expertise and proprietary AI solutions is expected to support its long-term growth in the rapidly evolving enterprise technology market.
