Bengaluru-based children’s technology startup Wippi has raised $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by 12 Flags, with participation from Warmup Ventures, Ventana Ventures, and Ruvento Ventures.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s voice AI technology, expand its engineering and artificial intelligence teams, scale manufacturing in India, and accelerate its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business. Wippi also plans to broaden its portfolio of AI-powered characters, regional languages, and original content.
Building Screen-Free AI Experiences for Children
Founded by Rishabh Singhi and Siddhartha Jain, Wippi develops screen-free educational products that combine conversational voice AI, storytelling, and interactive learning experiences for children.
Its product portfolio includes Character Cards, illustrated storybooks, and Wippi Radio, all designed to encourage imagination and learning without relying on traditional screens.
At the heart of the platform is Wippi’s conversational voice AI, which allows children to interact naturally with popular characters such as Ram, Krishna, Alice, Cinderella, and Aladdin. Instead of passively consuming content, children can ask questions, make choices, and influence the direction of stories through real-time conversations.
The company says its products are designed for children aged four years and above, offering a blend of entertainment, education, and creativity.
Funding to Drive Product Innovation
With the newly raised capital, Wippi plans to invest heavily in advancing its AI capabilities while strengthening its product ecosystem.
The startup will expand its engineering and AI research teams, increase domestic manufacturing capacity, and enhance its D2C operations to reach more families across India.
In addition to expanding its existing content library, the company also plans to introduce new AI-powered characters, multilingual experiences, and original educational content to cater to a wider audience.
Growth Plans and Global Expansion
Wippi aims to reach 15,000 families over the next 12 months as demand grows for interactive and screen-free learning solutions for children.
Beyond the Indian market, the startup also plans to expand internationally while developing collectible figurines and additional AI-powered conversational learning products to diversify its product lineup.
As parents increasingly seek alternatives to excessive screen time, startups like Wippi are leveraging artificial intelligence to create more engaging, educational, and immersive experiences for young learners.
The latest funding positions the company to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing children’s technology segment while expanding its AI-driven learning ecosystem both in India and global markets.
