Why Has Bodycraft Raised Fresh Capital After Nearly A Decade?

Beauty and wellness platform Bodycraft has secured Rs 120 crore (approximately $12.6 million) in a funding round led by Mumbai based private equity firm Singularity AMC. The investment marks the company’s first major fundraising round in nearly nine years.

Bodycraft last raised external capital in 2017, when it secured Rs 18 crore at a pre-money valuation of Rs 55 crore. The latest funding signals strong investor confidence in India’s rapidly expanding beauty, wellness, and clinical aesthetics market.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate growth, strengthen operational capabilities, and expand its footprint across India.

How Will Bodycraft Use The New Funding?

According to the company, the proceeds will be deployed across multiple growth initiatives, including geographic expansion, technology upgrades, and customer experience enhancement.

Bodycraft plans to invest in advanced clinical equipment, AI-driven operational efficiencies, management strengthening, and improved customer engagement systems. The company believes technology-led transformation will play a crucial role in scaling its beauty and wellness ecosystem.

The funding will also support the addition of new clinics and salons across key Indian cities.

What Is Bodycraft’s Business Model?

Founded in 1997 by Manjul Gupta, Bodycraft operates an integrated beauty, wellness, and medical aesthetics platform through a combination of clinics and salons.

The company follows a hybrid expansion strategy that includes both company-owned company-operated (COCO) outlets and franchise owned franchise operated (FOFO) centres.

Its offerings span skincare, haircare, cosmetic dermatology, wellness treatments, aesthetic procedures, and premium salon services, positioning it as a full-service beauty and wellness brand.

How Large Is Bodycraft’s Current Network?

Bodycraft currently operates 67 outlets across more than 10 Indian cities. The network includes 33 clinics and 34 salons serving customers across multiple beauty and wellness categories.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company plans to add 30 new locations over the coming years, significantly increasing its national presence.

The expansion is expected to strengthen Bodycraft’s position in India’s increasingly organized beauty and clinical aesthetics market.

How Strong Is Bodycraft’s Financial Performance?

The company reported revenue of Rs 98 crore in FY25 while maintaining an EBITDA margin of approximately 11–12%.

Bodycraft expects revenue to increase to Rs 130 crore in FY26 while sustaining similar profitability levels, reflecting strong demand across its beauty, wellness, and medical aesthetics businesses.

The company is currently led by CEO Sahil Gupta, while Medical Director Dr. Mikki Singh oversees its clinical aesthetics operations.

Why Is India’s Clinical Aesthetics Market Attracting Investors?

According to Bodycraft, India’s clinical aesthetics market is projected to grow from approximately $2 billion in 2024 to more than $7 billion by 2033.

The sector is benefiting from rising disposable incomes, increasing consumer awareness around wellness and self-care, growing acceptance of aesthetic procedures, and the expansion of organized beauty service providers.

As demand shifts toward premium and medically supervised beauty treatments, organized players such as Bodycraft are expected to benefit from strong long-term growth opportunities.

The latest investment from Singularity AMC positions Bodycraft to capitalize on this market expansion while strengthening its presence in one of India’s fastest growing consumer segments.
